Cyn's Rabbit Hole
Random Thoughts by CokeyCyn
This is Me.
Okay fine, I'll be the first to admit that my LiveJournal and my blogspot have been cop outs lately. Absolutely no personal information whatsoever. And absolutely no news about what is really going on in my life. And what's worse is that it's been absolutely filled to the brim with mindless (or mind-numbing) crap about things that have amused me lately. I guess I was just looking for a way to share these meaningless amusements with anyone who would listen. (Current mood: You don't want to cram your significant other's ear with meaningless amusements. Sooner or later they cease to be amusing. So blog, blog, blog, little starling. Blog all these trivialities and random thoughts and insignificantly fleeting moments. They might amuse someone else out there.)
So I decided to really write tonight. I've put on my thinking cap in an effort to shift my rusty writer's brain into gear. And all I can think about are these silly little utterances that I call blog posts. Maybe it's because someone in philMUG is asking why us bloggers have blogs to begin with. That's where my opening rant came from. But you know what?
I actually have no friggin idea whether anyone really cares about these meaningless amusements or idle thoughts, but then... I don't care either. When you blog, you get this funny feeling of satisfaction that you've put a thought out in the world. "There you go, world, I've said my piece." And it's the world's fault if they weren't listening the one moment in time you might have been saying something profound.
Cynical but true. And not fishing either (honestly).
Cynical but me.

Its basically a free-for-all thing. You can write about family, work, stuff. Some blogs are more specific. Blog about the company. Yeah I agree with what you said thought. Sometimes you just want to let off some steam. Rant, yada yada. Here's the thing though: Sometimes people like to blog about stuff or people they hate/dislike. Could be crappy company, or a lousy SO. That's the great irony, what's the point then, in posting it online if one wants those entries to be secret? I guess its like the thrill of changing underwear under a table in a public restaurant without wanting to be seen.
