Cyn's Rabbit Hole

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh... I will take a nice little break from my kinda-hectic workweek, to stop and smell the roses. Or in this case, stop and appreciate the FlutterBys.
When my nephew was growing up, he never could say "Butterfly" -- we always found it cute. But you, know, I think he made more sense than whoever wrote the dictionary: Have you ever tried to snap a photo of a "cute little butterfly"? When you see the pictures in a magazine, you think ... wow, how pretty. How tranquil.
NOT!
In reality, the dang buggers never stop moving. They flutter around non-stop, and occasionally pause on a flower just long enough for you to point your camera in the general direction. As soon as you try to focus (no matter how fast your Auto Focus is...), they flutter away and move on.
Luckily, I was able to snap a few nice shots when I visited the Butterfly Park in Malaysia last year, but... I was expecting a nice relaxing day of watching Butterflies and leisurely snapping away some photos. Instead, i ended up harassed, chasing all the Butterflies as they FlutteredBy... and out of my shot. But I did end up with just enough photos for a nice album that I'm happy with, just the same... :)

My Current Favorite Song...
Horror of horrors, I heard the "ocho-ocho song" about sixteen times last week during our sales convention... so i've been searching high and low for a song that was strong enough to ERASE all memories of that song from my mind (and together with the song, erase the image of all my dear friends dancing Ocho-ocho while under threat of pay-cut, and dancing even more wholeheartedly because it's "fun" ... gees i hope it was the beer)...
After one whole week of Lit, John Mayer, The Calling, Indigo Girls, and even the sappiest of Pinoy Sap, no luck. Ocho ocho still playing in my head.
But today, I FINALLY found a song that takes the top spot (thank goodness!):
To be sung at the top of voice while dancing calypso with maracas...
Apat na kutsara...
Lagyan ng konting sugar
Just add water AT
i halo-halo-halo ...
twenty three
resistensya builders...
Sustagen!
I'm beginning to think I work too much...
By the way, everytime someone sings this song, it's dedicated to Jamie and Ivan... haha

Left Behind
So. All our "friends" went to Palawan last Thursday, leaving me and my poor co-marketing folks in the office to toil away from 9 am until late late late in the night. Sabi nila, ang tawag ko sa kanila ay dapat "ex-friends."
We slaved in front of our computers while they swam in the sea, slept on the beach, danced under the nightsky, basically ran amok and unchecked. *Sigh*
Ka inggit!
I wish I was on the beach.
At any rate, this little photo is a little self portrait from about a year ago, when we all went down to Cebu and swam in the sea, jet skied to our heart's delight, and played Taboo in the middle of the night.
Anyone feel like jumping over to Cebu? :)
Hubby will kill me for posting this...
mwahahahahahaha
It's got to be the coolest thing when you have a picture like this of you and your Best Man...
