Cyn's Rabbit Hole

Self Portrait from Tagaytay Highlands
Wala lang...
For our anniversary, Vic and I headed to Tagaytay Highlands for some nice camping. We got there in time to inspect the tent that had been pre-pitched for us in front of a small public pool (public as in, good for 2 tents). Deciding that it was too hot to "rough it", we asked for an improved "tent" and wound up spending the night in an airconditioned nipa hut with its own swimming pool and little water fall. (It also had its own collection of frogs and moths, but that's another story).
Anyway, waking up to a nice sunrise streaming through the windows, I couldn't help but snap this picture. I love my Cybershot. :-)

Happy Birthday to Me...
What a week... check out Vic's Rundown of the week that was. Meanwhile at the bat cave, I just have to say that it doesn't get any better than watching Tuck and Patti live!
and then getting an autograph on a new CD of The Best of Tuck and Patti bought just for that purpose...
Must say Thank You Kristelle! and Globe Platinum for the wonderful tickets! (sure sure, it's a shameless plug. But, hey, where else do you get the perk of free tickets to TUCK AND PATTI, for crying out loud?!??!!! :)
An added bonus (surprise!) was an All-Access pass from uber-thoughtful May Zayco! Thank you May! *super*super*happy*cyn
Oh, thanks also for all the greetings, to all my friends and officemates who remembered. :-)
Special thanks to Allen for the kee-yut Coke photo that she made for me (no no no, I am not going to post THAT one -- I'll leave it to your imagination. Suffice to say that she superimposed my face on a sexy circa 1950s Coke poster girl's body, heeheehee).

Happy Birthday Joaquin...
And yet ANOTHER late post courtesy of moi... a few weeks ago, we celebrated the fourth birthday of Vic's *super*cute*hope*to *cast*in*a*Sustagen*commercial pamankin Joaquin. He partied on in a Bob the Builder-inspired party, at Westgrove. (side comment: It took us all of 40 minutes to get there, since Westgrove is 42 kilometers from Makati to the clubhouse (!!!) but were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the place is!)
Joaquin seemed to have a real fun time -- swimming in a WetWorks pool n play gym, followed by real pigging out on spaghetti, brownies, mamon, fried chicken (hmmm... come to think of it, strangely enough there weren't any hotdogs with marshmallows), and free-flowing Coke, of course.
The strangest part is how quickly time flies. Can't believe that Jaoquin is already four!!! Has it been that long already?!? Just a few days ago, or so it seems, he was still trying on his first Basketball Jersey (LA Lakers' Kobe Bryant, straight from the NBA Store on 5th Avenue, of course!) and following Cheerio-laden traps around Docky's living room. Now he's four, can sing the entire Birthday song (over and over again, hehe), can read all his letters, and has a little sister that HE decided is now named Ka-ka.
Waaaah! He's growing up na!!!
Oh by the way, Tito Schad spent the afternoon watching over Joaquin (Awwwww) before reverting to the Evil Balloon Man. :)

Top 5 Things Missing from Vic's Blog ...
Vic said he had a Fun Weekend. But the secret life of Vic Icasas is now revealed but previously unreleased Blog statements:
1. gee. Cyn beat me by two strokes on the front nine. grrr.
2. Wow, I like the picture Cyn took of me on the golf course. She can take nice pictures, too.
3. Next time I post something like this on the web, cyn is probably going to make me sleep in the garden.
4. Does anyone know where to take a seminar on how to drop subtle hints on Christmas gifts that are actually subtle?
5. Cyn had the putt of the weekend... a thirty five footer with a double-break! She aced it to save par. Whew!
:-)
Just kidding Jiggy. ;-) Thoroughly enjoyed yer blog today.

My Newest Pamankin ...
Somewhere in the West Coast, my latest pamankin is growing and getting ready for the world...
She's already big enough to know that her thumb probably tastes good. :-)
And so, we are going to have a little David princess on the West Coast as well as on the East Coast (but there's no need for Sara to be worried, I'm sure).
Exciting news ... a little sister for Cole. Kewl.
